One week after court
It's so hard to believe that court was one week ago! We worried about it for so long, it feels weird (but amazing!) to have it behind us. It was rainy again this morning, so we stayed inside to play. The clothes she wore today were by far the craziest yet. She had on a yellow t-shirt with a big chicken that said "I'm so beaty." No clue what that means. Her pants were a tropical print with huge colored flowers, complete with a belt and chain! Her shoes were maroon suede. Plus, she had on her trademark yellow bow. So fashionable :) They gave her a hair cut last night. It was getting a little wild, but we were sad that her little curls are gone. We plan to grow it out, so hopefully it will grow fast. Either way she is the cutest! Her favorite things today were: a packet of kleenex, our Russian translation book, and my white hoodie. She insisted that she wear it, and walked around like a little ghost all day. After our visit we went to lunch with Yelena and Serge. Luckily, there was no vodka! Then we drove around buying gifts for the orphanage. Their biggest request was for special regulation thermometers. These will be used for the refrigerators that house all of the immunizations. So far, with the rest of the money, we have purchased 25 bottles of baby shampoo, 25 large boxes of Q-tips, and 8 fingernail clippers. Tomorrow we will go buy more fingernail clippers and a bunch of diapers. We are so thankful to everyone who donated!
