We are a family!!!

It's official! Sofia Grace Johnson is our daughter, forever and ever! We got the call from Yelena today around 3pm that the judge signed the papers. Hooray! Soon after, we were on our way to the orphanage to pick her up. The drive took only an hour, but it seemed like ten. When we got there they took her clothes to her room so that the caregivers could dress her. One of the directors brought her to us, and she looked so sweet in her little going home dress! She smiled and immediately put her arms up to me. It was such an awesome moment, to hold her, and to know that she was really mine. We went to the directors office and they talked to us about a few things, but to be honest, I have no idea what they said. I was just so excited, and wanted to get out of there before they changed their minds! It was so strange to take her out of the orphanage and drive away with her. We felt like any second someone was going to come running after the van saying "wait, stop! bring her back!." On the ride home she got a little carsick, but otherwise did fine. We brought her up to the apartment and showed her all of the new toys. Once Yelena and Serge left it was just us three...finally! We had dinner together for the first time, and she was definately our entertainment. Bathtime was not her favorite, but she is deliciously clean and has on her comfy PJs. We rocked and snuggled for quite awile before bedtime, and could tell that she was starting get a little scared and nervous. She has been asleep now for almost two hours, so that is hopefully a good sign. Mark and I just keep looking at eachother, and saying "I can't believe she is really ours!" It's hard to put into words how amazing it feels to have her with us, and know that she is finally our daughter.
